The Tanager is our take on a T-style guitar with SS pick-ups and classic shaped body - ready to bring you everything from classic twang to striking lead tones.

Eminently playable, top-quality wood, and still handcrafted, small in size but not in tone! The Junior series from Feather is great to bring new accessibility to guitar - perhaps for a little learner, or for a traveler, or for a more serious musician to open new tones that only this miniature scale can deliver. Whatever the drive, we keep the material costs minimal on component parts, but concentrate on delivering quality wood and careful construction that is much harder to upgrade down the line. This pictured model features a metallic gold finish and comes with accompanying gig bag.

The body-hugging curves, vibrato bridge, and three single-coil pick-ups of an S-styled guitar are unmistakable… but the Warbler model is always rare bird of its own!

This model sports a rosewood fingerboard, and a 3-ply b/w/b pickguard with nitrocellulose finish (standard for Feather, typically custom shop option) to let the wood breathe while the Midnight Sky color brings just a little metallic sparkle to the glossy black. And Feather Guitars never skimp on hardware, and the Schaller Locking Tuners and Bridge/Trem here are top-notch and a custom filed bone nut completes the string-touching points.

The variety of tone and character this guitar has rings true to its Warbler namesake - and this is no exception… with Seymour Duncan’s Hot Strat in the Neck and Middle (RWRP):

Introducing Feather’s Strix Signature edition line. This line will feature custom designs, as well as one-off homage/throwback builds. This first off the bench is an homage too guitar legend Slash, of Guns N’ Roses. Mixing an angular 80’s style body that riffs off the Mockingbird offset approach that is light and balanced, with the eponymous Slash Seymour Duncan humbuckers designed to emulate the Les Paul sounds from Appetite for Destruction with all the “familiar sustain, crunch, and midrange” (Seymour Duncan Website). The woods include a rich mahogany body and neck, paired with a 22-maple fretboard to bring great attack and responsiveness to the tone. Speaking of which, the tone is exactly what you’d want with the right amount of mids to cut the mix when set-up on a flat EQ (as Slash was known for bucking the scooped-mid trend of the time), but enough balance to provide wider versatile on demand with slight adjustments to EQ. With a cranked amp about all you need is a little reverb with this guitar, but it is responsive and friendly to pedals as well.

The Grover locking tuners, black TUSQ nut, and Gotoh tune-o-matic style bridge bring impeccable quality and style to every part that touches the strings. Add a Crimson Burst burst finish over the maple body for the right balance of flare and you know that this axe can ‘Slash’ through the ‘Jungle’ any time it is welcomed!
