Finding zen in off-screen handiwork, and inspired by legendary builder Dean Zelinsky’s nearby shop and the Tagliare he bought there, Joe took up the building process for a friend, expanded his toolset, and started researching everything he could in every way possible. After decades of working on his own equipment set-ups and adjustments, a whole other world had exploded… Everything from getting tours of Dean’s shop (and while chatting gardening), connecting with an friend who had come to manage Schecter’s Custom Shop and CNCs, and a then pandemic to lead to more and more research and refining. And to put it all to good use, and in the hope of providing carefully crafted and custom-shop configured guitars for reasonable prices (no marketing budget and flash, just craft), he established Feather Guitars.
