The solid ash body brings firm lows, a slightly scooped midrange, and crystal (but not piercing) treble. Quality ash wood may not be around much longer and is an incredible tone wood (associated with premium 50’s Fenders), and the nitrocellulose finish (standard for Feather) lets the wood breathe. Couple that body with a truly unique neck configuration - pairing mahogany (rare for S-style) with a maple fretboard (maintenance free, excellent attack) and gold hardware with Grover locking tuners… and you see why this is one rare bird - even before the incredible pickups on board.
